    Our compnay is accepting resumes for an employment opportunity for a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to work at Womack Army Medical Center (WAMC), and outlying clinics at Ft. Bragg, NC. These position is in anticipation of a government contract award.

    Position Details:

    • No federal holidays
    • Womack Army Medical Center (WAMC)
    • Monday through Friday. Normal Clinic Hours are 0700-1800 hours,
    • Physical Therapist Assistants

      (Shift a) 0730-1630 (Mon-Fri)

      (Shift b) 0700-1600 (Mon-Fri)

      (Shift c) 0700-1800 (Mon-Thur)

    • Ensure patients, coworkers and customers are politely acknowledged immediately upon entering the area and demonstrate active listening skills while effectively attending to their needs.
    • Administer traction to relieve neck and back pain, using intermittent and static traction equipment. Instruct, motivate, and assist patients to learn and improve functional activities.
    • Observe patients during treatments and compile and evaluate data on patients' responses to treatments and progress and report orally or in writing to the physical therapist.
    • Fit patients for, adjust, and train patients in the use and care of orthopedic braces, prostheses, and supportive devices, such as crutches, canes, walkers, and wheelchairs.


    Must Have:

    • Associates Degree. Graduate from a college or university accredited by the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE)
    • Be state licensed as a Physical Therapy Assistant.
    • One year of experience as a Physical Therapy Assistant after graduation.
    • Have a minimum of one year current experience in the past year. Due to the independence of this job, it is preferable for 3 years current experience in the past year
    • Current, full, active, and unrestricted license to practice as a physical therapy assistant or possess current certification as a physical therapy assistant/technician as determined by the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA).
